The Commission aims to become a professional body with the manpower having the necessary skills to deal with competition issues. Imparting training is one of the most important areas for the Commission.

The Commission shall arrange appropriate training in India and abroad for the Chairperson, Members, Officers and other employees assisting the Commission about competition issues and participation in international events as considered necessary by the Commission. The Commission shall also arrange appropriate training for the stakeholders.

The Commission has been given the task of creating awareness and support for competition policy among the business community and the civil society. The Commission organizes conferences, seminars and workshop to promote understanding of the role of competition in a market economy and to show how its enforcement activities further such goals; how competition benefits both consumers and businesses by ensuring the supply of goods and services at the lowest possible price, how producers in competitive markets are forced to respond to the demands of their customers and how competitive markets result in the most efficient allocation of resources to the benefit of the entire economy.  Competition enforcement is more effective when the community understands and supports competition policy.
